I am an incoming Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Mathematics at the University of British Columbia, starting August 2025.

Currently, I am a WRF Postdoctoral Fellow in the Keller Lab at the University of Washington

My research centers on mechanical biomimicry, drawing inspiration from natural systems to create structures with intriguing mechanical characteristics. Specifically, I aim to model, design, and fabricate autonomous shape-morphing structures. To this end, I employ analytical and geometric tools and utilize various responsive materials and fabrication techniques. Consequently, my work is highly interdisciplinary, fostering collaborations with physicists, mathematicians, chemists, material scientists, and designers.
